KATHMANDU: The dialogue featured in the film Narsingha Avatar marks the powerful return of actor Rajesh Hamal after eight years. In the movie, he boldly declares a battle against corruption by referencing the title of his debut film. At long last, the wait is over—Narsingha Avatar, Hamal’s much-anticipated comeback film, has officially released its trailer on Thursday.

Running for over three minutes, the trailer showcases Hamal in the fierce and divine form of Narsingha Avatar. He portrays a heroic character who stands up against exploitation, injustice, and oppression. When Hamal delivers his iconic “Hey!” dialogue, it is sure to evoke a wave of nostalgia among longtime fans.

The trailer presents Hamal in a full-fledged action avatar. Actor Raj Katuwal appears in a strong supporting role alongside him. Niti Shah is paired opposite Hamal, while Sanisha Bhattarai is cast opposite Katuwal. Prashant Tamrakar plays the antagonist. The film also features prominent actors such as Nir Shah, Saroj Khanal, and Usha Khadgi in important roles.

A press conference was organized in Kathmandu on Thursday to unveil the trailer. During the event, Hamal and the cast discussed the film in detail. Given that this is Hamal’s return to the silver screen after eight years, the film has generated substantial buzz and excitement among the audience.

Narsingha Avatar is directed by Diwakar Bhattarai under the banner of Creative Cine Art. The film is produced by Deepak Sharma Dhakal, Narendra Maharjan, and Dhruba Nyaupane. It is scheduled to hit theatres on Jestha 9 (May 22, 2025).
