KATHMANDU: Many directors are interested in adapting the magnificent Mahabharat into a film. Bollywood director B.R. Chopra produced a series based on this mega epic that turned out to be an instant success. Now, renowned director S.S. Rajamouli, who has given blockbusters Baahubali and RRR, also dreams of bringing Mahabharat to cinema screens. This is his ultimate dream project. Recently, Rajamouli revealed some exciting updates about the casting for his Mahabharat film, further fueling excitement among his fans.
Rajamouli was recently present at the pre-release event for the upcoming film Hit: The Third Case, starring popular South Indian actor Nani. During the event, host Suma Kanakala asked Rajamouli about the casting of Mahabharat. In response, Rajamouli confirmed that Nani would be a part of the Mahabharat project, although he did not specify which role Nani would play.
Currently, Rajamouli is busy shooting for Mahesh Babu’s film SSMB 29. When asked for an update on the film, the director chose to remain silent and provided no further details. Along with Mahesh Babu, actress Priyanka Chopra and actor Prithviraj Sukumaran will also appear in the film. As the movie is still in production, additional details have yet to be revealed.
