KATHMANDU: The filming of Jari 2, written and directed by Upendra Subba, has officially commenced with a formal inauguration. According to the production team, shooting began on Tuesday.

The entire film will be shot in Panchthar. Jari 2 is a sequel to the film Jari. The production team has already announced that the movie will be released during the Dashain festival.

The film features a talented cast, including Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral, Miruna Magar, Buddhi Tamang, Pushkar Gurung, Prem Subba, Maotse Gurung, Manahang Lawati, Bishnu Moktan, Kamalmani Nepal, Anil Subba, Rekha Limbu, Vedana Rai, and Srijana Ninglekhu.

The film is being produced under the banners of Baasuri Films and Kabaddi Films, with investment from Rambabu Gurung. Upendra Subba is both the writer and director of the film.

Sequel Jari, released in the year 2023 (B.S. 2080), became a grand hit at the box office collecting an amount of NPR 170 million (17 crore). According to reports, the sequel’s plot will feature based on Maoist insurgency.
