KATHMANDU: The shooting of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King has been halted. According to Indian media outlet Dainik Jagran, the filming has been paused due to the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan.
The movie was scheduled to begin shooting from May 16, but the production team has currently put it on hold.
Despite the delay in filming, the movie is still expected to release on Christmas 2026. It appears that the halt in shooting will not affect the film’s release timeline.
King is set to be an action thriller film. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the movie will feature Shah Rukh Khan alongside his daughter Suhana Khan. Actor Arshad Warsi will also play a major role. The film is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s home production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. The movie has a budget of 200 crore (Indian Rupees).
