Six Nepali films in theaters, ‘Purna Bahadur’s Sarangi’ is still being shown

KATHMANDU: There are currently six Nepali films showing in cinema halls. Among them, ‘Rajaganj’, ‘Anjila’ and ‘Outlaw Section 219’ are the latest releases. ‘Rajaganj’ directed by Deepak Rauniyar has been in theaters since last Friday. ‘Anjila’ directed by Milan Chams and ‘Outlaw Section 219’ directed by Vicky Maharjan were released on Thursday on the occasion of the Fagu festival. Among these three films, ‘Anjila’ has emerged as the most popular in terms of audience attendance.

This film has also received more shows. Similarly, the film ‘Hostel-3’ directed by Sashan Kandel is in its second week of release. The film, released on Falgun 23, is also doing well at the box office. Three Nepali films were released simultaneously on the occasion of Shivaratri on Falgun 14. Among them, the film ‘Laaj Sharanam’ directed by Kumar Kattel is currently in its third week of release. The film ‘Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi’, released on the occasion of Tihar, is still in theaters. It seems that the film is still being shown on the QFX chain. The hall in the Rising Mall of the QFX chain has given the film 1 show daily. The film has set a record for the highest grossing.
