KATHMANDU: The main cast of the film has been completed with the signing of actress Usha Rajak in director Parichaya Sen’s upcoming Nepali film ‘Maharajdhiraj’.

On Monday, the production team signed Rajak for a leading role in the film. Already, famous actors like Aryan Sikdel, Ramesh Upreti, Pal Shah and Pushpa Khadka have been finalized for the film. On behalf of the actresses, Varsha Raut and Varsha Shiwakoti have also been signed for the lead roles.

‘Maharajdhiraj’ is preparing to give a different taste to the audience by mixing old and new generation actors. Jai Kishan Basnet, Gajit Bista and Asha Poudel have already been signed for the film.

According to presenter Biraj Bista, the lineup of the main cast has been finalized with the signing of Usha Rajak. He said, “We have included experienced and famous faces in acting. Now we are left with the selection of actors for some supporting roles. Our team has become stronger.”

Produced under the banner of Chhatreshwor Management Pvt. Ltd., the film is written by director Sen himself. His previous film ‘Premgunj’ was critically acclaimed. The producers of ‘Maharajdhiraj’ are Topendra Bista, Chakra Bahadur KC, and Ravi Khadka.

‘Maharajdhiraj’ is set to hit the screens across the country during the upcoming Phulpati festival. The production team has stated that the filming dates and detailed details of the technical team will be made public soon.
