As the festival of lights is around the corner, decoration has become a priority for everyone. Buildings and homes are decorated with lights, flowers and statues.

Ganga Ram Tamang, a statue maker, explains that most of the people come to get statues of gods and goddesses for their newly made homes. And in tihar they take the home statue of goddess Laxmi for the puja.
