KATHMANDU: Minister for Health and Population, Pradeep Paudel, has urged concerned agencies and stakeholders to ensure the success of the free screening campaign targeting non-communicable diseases.

The campaign, which began today, aims to promote preventive measures against non-communicable diseases.

In a message issued today, Minister Paudel highlighted that nearly three-fourths of all deaths in the country are due to non-communicable diseases, with climate change and increasing urbanization further complicating the issue.

Recognizing the need for health promotion, remedial, and curative services at the local level with community involvement, the ministry has launched this campaign to protect citizens from the vicious cycle of disease through preventive measures.

“We are making every effort to enhance services and improve the quality of treatment at our health facilities,” the minister stated in his message.
