Following the announcement, Minister for Health and Population, Pradeep Poudel, called the appointment a significant opportunity for Nepal to showcase its healthcare reform achievements and learn from global best practices.
Minister Poudel extended his congratulations to all Nepalis on this historic achievement and reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to advancing global health initiatives.
Minister Poudel also revealed that Nepal plans to propose a resolution next year urging employers worldwide to take responsibility for the health of migrant workers.
