Three persons died on the spot and 52 others were injured after a bus carrying wedding attendants fell off at Dharawati village in Piskar, Sindhupalchowk, at 7:00 this morning.

The bus (Ba 4 Kha 5616) was carrying wedding attendants from Dolakha district, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Niranjan Bhattarai said.

DSP Bhattarai said a rescue operation is ongoing to rush the injured ones to the hospitals.

As the bus plunged into the cliff, the security personnel are having difficulties in rescue jobs, Bhattarai added.
