23 injured in bus accident

BHARATPUR: Twenty-three people were injured in a road accident that occurred early this morning.

The incident took place when a bus (Lu Pra 03-001 Kha 0077) traveling from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu plunged off the Setidobhan bridge along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section at 4:30 am, according to police.

Police Inspector Nirala Bhandari from the Area Police Office in Muglin reported that 23 of the 28 passengers on board were injured in the accident.

The injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the bus may have lost control due to a tire puncture. An ongoing investigation is being conducted.
