KATHMANDU: The Government has confirmed that all Nepali nationals currently residing in Israel and Iran are safe.
Issuing a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that around 5,500 Nepalis are in Israel and 12 are in Iran, and all of them are reported to be safe as per the latest information.
In light of recent developments between Israel and Iran over the past three days, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has been in regular contact with Nepali ambassadors based in Israel and Qatar, according to the ministry.
The Nepali Embassy in Doha, Qatar, is also responsible for overseeing matters related to Iran.
Minister Deuba has instructed the ambassadors to prioritize the safety of Nepali nationals in those countries, maintain constant communication with the Nepali community, and regularly disseminate updated information related to security advisories issued by the respective host nations.
The Government of Nepal is closely monitoring the evolving situation between Israel and Iran and has stated that appropriate measures will be taken as necessary to safeguard the interests of Nepalis residing there.
