NAWALPARASI: Traffic on the Butwal-Narayangadh road section of the East-West Highway has been obstructed. The highway has been blocked at Daunne since the road section is muddy and slippery due to rain, according to police.
Superintendent of Police Yadav Dhakal of Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) District Police Office said the road has been obstructed due to rain at Daunne of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2.

Hundreds of vehicles and passengers have been stranded on the road due to the road blockade. Vehicular movement in Daunne area was suspended from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm from Wednesday till Sunday for repair.

Similarly, preparations have been made to stop the vehicular movement from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am from April 14 to 28.
