RUKUM WEST: A child died and four others were injured in a road accident that occurred last night in Pakha village, Sisne Rural Municipality-6, Rukum West.
The deceased was a 12-year-old girl, Vishnu Budhamagar, from Khopichar, Sisne-6.
The accident took place when the auto-rickshaw, with the number plate Lumbini Province 02001 Ha 0350, was traveling from Pakha village toward Rukum along the Mid-Hill Highway.
According to Him Bahadur KC, an Information Officer at the District Police Office, the injured individuals include 16-year-old Mahendra Budhamagar, 14-year-old Sushila Budhamagar, and 11-year-old Sushmita Budhamagar, all from Sisne-6, as well as 40-year-old driver Top Bahadur from Sisne-5.
Mahendra Budhamagar, who sustained serious injuries, has been transferred to Nepalgunj for further treatment, while the other three are in stable condition and receiving care at Rukum District Hospital.
The auto-rickshaw reportedly lost control and fell 50 meters off the road.
