KATHMANDU: Victims of the cooperative scam staged a semi-nude protest in Kathmandu’s Maitighar Mandala.
The protestors carried placards with slogans such as “Our movement is not by choice, but by compulsion” and “Do not mistake our patience for weakness.”
The victims, who have been protesting on the streets for months, are demanding the return of their savings, which were misappropriated by the cooperative institutions.
Despite numerous attempts to engage in dialogue with the government, their demands remain unaddressed. The protestors are now calling for the seizure of assets belonging to the cooperative leaders to recover their lost funds.
