KATHMANDU: Education, Science and Technology Minister Bidya Bhattarai has resigned from her position.

The Ministry has officially confirmed her resignation.

Earlier today, Minister Bhattarai held a meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. She submitted her resignation to the Prime Minister during the meeting.

Her resignation comes amid ongoing protests in Kathmandu by community school teachers, who have been demanding the government to enact the long-pending School Education Act.
