KATHMANDU: Landslides triggered by continuous rainfall have blocked at least six major roads across Nepal, including Kanti Lokpath and Araniko Highway.
Kanti Lokpath has been fully obstructed since Sunday morning due to a landslide at Bhairangdanda in Bhimphedi-8, Makawanpur. Araniko Highway is blocked at Kodari in Bhotekoshi-2, Sindhupalchowk.
In Lalitpur, a landslide at Rumbadanda in Bagmati-6 has closed the Ashrang–Gimdi road. In Khotang, the Diktel–Gaighat road is blocked at Diprung Chuichumpa-4, while the Mid-Hill Highway is partially closed at Barkhetar in Halesi Tuwachung-10.
Additionally, the Ranke-Rabi-Bhedetar road is fully blocked at Sangurigadhi-5 in Dhankuta, police said.
