KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that Nepal is currently under the influence of westerly and local wind systems.

In addition, the country is experiencing a partial impact from moisture-laden winds blowing in from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

According to the Division, skies across the country are partly to mostly cloudy, with light rain and lightning occurring in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Karnali provinces.

This afternoon, similar conditions are expected to persist, with partly to generally cloudy weather.

Light to moderate rain, accompanied by lightning, is likely in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as at a few other isolated locations. Some high hill and mountainous areas may also see light snowfall along with rain.

Tonight’s forecast suggests the possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

A few high-altitude areas in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki may also receive light rain and snowfall.
