KATHMANDU: The Nagdhunga-Naubise road will be partially closed starting today for a duration of 16 days.
According to the Nagdhunga-Muglin Road Project (Eastern Section), the 1.8-kilometer stretch between Nagdhunga and Pipla Mode on the Nagdhunga-Naubise route will be closed daily from 10:30 am to 3 pm until June 8.
During this time, vehicles heading from Kathmandu to Naubise will be stopped at the Nagdhunga check post, while those traveling from Naubise to Kathmandu will be stopped at Khanikhola Bazaar.
Drivers of small and medium vehicles are advised to use alternate routes such as Sitapaila-Ramkot-Dharke and Samakhusi-Tokha Chhahare-Trishuli (Bidur)-Galchhi roads.
Emergency services including fire trucks, ambulances, and security vehicles will be permitted to move freely despite the closure.
