KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines has rescheduled its flight to Doha for 12 noon Tuesday following the cancellation of the originally scheduled 11 PM Monday departure due to an attack linked to the US military base in Qatar.

The sudden escalation in regional tensions led to a halt in flights to Gulf countries, leaving many passengers stranded overnight at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

The attack near the US military facility in Qatar was announced just as boarding preparations were underway for the Nepal Airlines flight.

Consequently, the flight was canceled, causing confusion and distress among passengers—mostly migrant workers traveling for foreign employment—who were forced to spend the night at the airport.

Authorities confirmed that Doha’s airspace has since reopened and the situation is stabilizing, allowing flights to resume. Many passengers remain at the airport awaiting updated flight schedules and further instructions.
