KATHMANDU: The installation of RCC beams (girders) on four bridges along the Muglin–Malekhu road section was completed this morning, paving the way for uninterrupted night-time vehicular movement starting today.

However, traffic along a section of the Prithvi Highway—from Naubise to Malekhu—will remain closed tonight and tomorrow night, as girders are yet to be placed on one remaining bridge, according to the Nagdhunga–Muglin Road Project Office.

Kedar Prasad Nepal, chief of the western section of the Nagdhunga–Muglin Road Project, said that the girder placement has been completed at the Barbang, Mowa, Khatauti, and Gomati Khola bridges.

He added that deck casting work on two of these bridges is being expedited with the goal of completing it by the end of the Nepali month of Asar.
