KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing the partial influence of local winds, with temperatures gradually rising across most regions, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

Today, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while skies will remain mostly clear in other parts of the country.

By afternoon, hilly regions of the aforementioned provinces will see partly to generally cloudy conditions, with a chance of light rain accompanied by lightning at one or two locations in Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali.

Snowfall is also possible at isolated spots in the high hills and mountainous areas of Gandaki and Karnali.

The Division has advised the public to take necessary precautions against lightning and light rain in the hilly areas and remain alert for potential heatwaves in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
