A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Kankai Municipality Naya Basti of Jhapa.

36-year-old Savitra Devi Bhandari was declared dead when she was being treated at the hospital. A car hit Bhandari yesterday evening at 7:50 pm while walking.

The police informed that the driver along with the car has been taken into custody.
