KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that westerly and local wind systems are currently influencing weather patterns across Nepal.

According to the Division, much of the country is witnessing partly to mostly cloudy skies. Light rainfall has been reported in certain parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

During the afternoon, cloudy conditions are expected to persist, especially in the hilly regions such as Koshi Province, while other areas will experience partly cloudy weather.

There is a possibility of light rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in several hilly areas of Koshi and Madhesh provinces, along with a few other scattered locations across the country.

High hilly and mountainous areas may also see light rain or snowfall in isolated spots.

Tonight, partial cloud cover is likely to continue over the hilly regions, particularly in Koshi Province.

Isolated showers with thunder and lightning may occur in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Additionally, light snowfall and rain are expected in one or two places in the higher elevations of these provinces.
