CHITAWAN: Seven people were injured when two trucks collided head-on along the Narayangadh–Muglin road section
The accident occurred at around 6:50 AM on Thursday morning at Gaighat in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29. A truck (Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 6287) heading towards Muglin from Narayangadh collided with another truck (Na 6 Kha 9897) traveling from Muglin towards Narayangadh.
According to Rabindra Khanal, spokesperson for the Chitwan District Police Office, both trucks sustained damage to their front sections. The drivers of both vehicles were rescued after being trapped in their cabins. They are currently receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College.Other injured passengers are being treated at Bharatpur Hospital.
The injured include Santosh Subedi (37), the driver of the truck with registration number 01-006 Kha 6287, who resides in Munalchowk, Bharatpur-12, and Dhanraj Kumar Yadav (34), the driver of the other truck from Garuda Municipality-5, Rautahat.
Additionally, five passengers traveling in the 01-006 Kha 6287 truck were injured: Jayakant Ray Yadav, Harishankar Yadav, Akash Yadav, Ravi Kumar Yadav, and Anil Kumar Yadav—all residents of Baudhimai Municipality-7, Rautahat.
Police have confirmed that their condition is normal.
