Police in Bardiya district on Friday arrested three persons in possession of 694 grams of hashish from Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-3.

Those arrested have been identified as Kamal Bishwokarma (26) and Kali Bahadur Chadar (32), residents of Simalghari in Banke’s Khajura Rural Municipality-6, and Bal Bahadur Kami (48), resident of Sitalabazar in Bardiya’s Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-8.

Security personnel deployed from the Bardiya-based Mainapokhar Area Police Office arrested them in possession of the substance during a routine check due to their suspicious activity.

They have been charged on a drug case and further investigation into the case is underway, informed District Police Office, Bardiya.
