NAWALPARASI: Two young men lost their lives after a bus collided with their motorcycle in Nawalparasi West on Saturday.

According to the District Police Office, the deceased have been identified as Bhola Rajbhar, 21, of Pratappur Rural Municipality-4, Pachpeda, and Rahul Rajbhar, 18, of Ramgram Municipality-15, Digoul.

The fatal accident took place near Jharahi Khola in Palhinandan Rural Municipality-1 when the bus (Lu 2 Kha 654) attempted to overtake at a bend and struck the motorcycle (Lu 47 Pa 4879), said Senior Police Officer Bir Dutta Panta.

Both riders sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Prithvi Chandra Hospital in Parasi. However, they died while undergoing treatment.

Police have taken the bus driver into custody and launched an investigation into the incident.
