KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing the influence of westerly winds.

As of Monday morning, the weather in the hilly regions is partly cloudy, while the rest of the nation remains mostly clear.

A few areas in the Terai are experiencing light mist and fog, as reported by the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The Division has predicted light rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Kosi Province today, along with the possibility of light snowfall in one or two spots in the high hilly and mountainous regions.

The Division has also issued weather advisories and warnings for the next 24 hours, noting: “There is a chance of light rain in one or two places in Kosi Province’s hilly areas and light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous regions. Mist and fog are also possible in the Terai during the morning.”

These conditions may affect daily life, health, and road and air transportation, and the public is advised to take the necessary precautions.
