Police on Friday morning arrested a youth on charge of murdering another youth in Khandbari Municipality-1 of Sankhuwasabha district.

The accused has been identified as Mukesh Tamang (24) of Khandbari-1. Police identified the deceased as Pema Tamang (26) 

The deceased has been revealed as Pema Sherpa (26) of Ale in Chichila Rural Municipality-2 in the district. Sherpa had currently been residing at her sister’s home in Sundanda in Khandbari-1.

According to police, Tamang allegedly attacked Sherpa with a sharp weapon to take vengeance on him, on Thursday night,

Acting on a tip-off, a team of security personnel deployed from Sankhuwasabha District Police Office (DPO) arrested Tamang.

Meanwhile, investigation into the case is underway, informed the DPO.
