CPN-UML holding Youth Festival in Kathmandu today

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is organizing a large youth festival today at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu, coinciding with Democracy Day. The event is scheduled to begin at 1 PM.

Youth Association President Kshitij Thebe said that UML Chair and Prime Minister KP Oli, along with General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, will deliver brief congratulatory addresses. All other speakers at the event will be young representatives from the party.

Among the youth expected to speak are Suhang Nembang, a member of the House of Representatives; Sunita Dangol, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu; among others.

The festival will feature speeches from youth under 40, along with cultural performances. Organizers anticipate a turnout of around 100,000 young people from across the country.
