CPN UML taskforce meeting to be held today

The meeting of the 10-member taskforce formed to resolve the internal disputes within the CPN UML will be taking place today. The meeting has been scheduled for 3 pm.

The taskforce was supposed to meet on Monday but as Bhim Rawal, one of the task force members was facing some health problems it could not be held as per the schedule. Meanwhile, it is not clear on which members of the task force will be attending the meeting today. It has been reported that along with Rawal, leader Shankar Pokharel may also not be able to attend the meeting. Pokharel at the moment is in Dang.

The 10-member task force was formed after an understanding was reached between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairperson of the party, and senior party leader Madhav Kumar Nepal on Sunday (May 16).
The committee includes Surendra Pandey, Bhim Rawal, Ghanashyam Bhusal, Gokarna Bista, and Raghuji Pant from Nepal’s faction. Similarly, Subas Nembang, Bishnu Rimal, Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Shankar Pokhrel, and Pradeep Gyawali are representing the Oli faction.
