KATHMANDU: The National Assembly meeting of Nepal’s federal parliament is set to take place today at 1:15 pm in the Parliament Building, New Baneshwor.
Among the key items on the agenda is the presentation of the Report on the Need for Legal Provisions on the Rights and Development of the Dalit Community, 2081, by Kamala Panta, the Chairperson of the Development, Economic Affairs, and Good Governance Committee.
Additionally, National Assembly Secretary Dr. Surendra Aryal will table messages from the House of Representatives regarding the Secure Transactions (First Amendment) Bill, 2080, and the Banking Offences and Punishment (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080. These bills, passed by the National Assembly and sent to the House of Representatives, include important updates.
Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Vidya Bhattarai will also present a proposal for the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081, seeking consideration by the assembly.
Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation Deepak Khadka will propose a discussion on the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Bill, 2081, accompanied by the report from the Legislative Management Committee.
Additionally, a proposal to pass the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Bill, 2081 will also be introduced.
