KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Education Minister Raghuji Panta has taken the oath of office and secrecy.

On Thursday, President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath to Panta at the Presidential Residence, Sheetal Niwas.

On Wednesday, CPN-UML leader Raghuji Panta was appointed Minister for Education, Science, and Technology by President Ramchandra Paudel on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Panta was given the ministerial responsibility after former Education Minister Bidya Bhattarai tendered her resignation to the Prime Minister on Baisakh 8 (April 21).
