KATHMANDU: A meeting of opposition parties has begun to discuss and form a common position on the five-point proposal submitted by the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) to the Nepali Congress.
The meeting is being held at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwar and includes key opposition parties, notably the main opposition, the CPN (Maoist Centre).
Present at the meeting are Maoist Centre Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun, Chief Whip Hit Raj Pandey, RSP Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar, CPN (Unified Socialist) Senior Vice-Chair Rajendra Pandey, and Aam Janata Party Chair Prabhu Sah, among others.
The RSP had submitted a five-point proposal to the Nepali Congress on Jestha 26 (June 9) to seek a resolution and resume the obstructed session of the House of Representatives.
