KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has stated that over 2,000 Nepali citizens have come into contact with the party after falling victim to visit visa fraud and human trafficking schemes.
The victims responded to a public appeal made by the party, submitting evidence of being duped. RSP has labeled the misuse of visit visas as a serious form of organized crime and has called for coordinated legal action through Parliament, government bodies, and society.
The party has also accused the Home Ministry of attempting to distract from the core issue by raising unrelated claims, including the allegation that fake complaints were being filed.
In response, RSP has formed an internal committee to investigate the authenticity of such accusations. It maintains that its campaign is focused on tackling systemic crime, not targeting any specific individual or party.
