KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to speak in the Federal Parliament today (Friday), marking the start of the new budget session.
Sources indicate that he will make his address at the opening of the session. The budget session is anticipated to center on major national priorities, economic plans, and legislative proposals ahead of the upcoming fiscal year.
President Ram Chandra Paudel convened the session based on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, in line with Article 93 of Nepal’s Constitution.
This session, widely recognized as the budget session, is particularly significant as it will feature the unveiling of the government’s annual policy plans and the national budget.
Lawmakers are also expected to discuss several important pending bills, such as the Federal Civil Service Act and the School Education Bill.
