Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is holding a meeting with party leaders who are close to him. The prime minister has called the leaders to his residence in Baluwatar for the meeting.
The meeting is being held to discuss on the new political developments that have taken place in the country after the Supreme Court’s verdict on Tuesday. A joint bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana and Justice Prakash Kumar Dhungana issued an interim order on Tuesday asking PM Oli not to implement the decision to reshuffle the government.
Along with this verdict 20 ministers have lost their positions and there are now only five members in the Council of Ministers. Now even the mid-term elections will be held with only five ministers in the Cabinet.
PM Oli has called the meeting to hold talks on the strategies that need to be adopted in the coming days with the recent verdict of the Supreme Court.
