PM Oli, Indian PM Modi hold phone talks

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a telephonic conversation with his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, to express condolences over the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed several lives, including that of a Nepali citizen.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), PM Oli wrote, “Spoke with Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and conveyed my deepest condolences on the loss of lives in the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Reiterated Nepal’s firm solidarity with India against such heinous acts. Grateful for his heartfelt condolences on the loss of Nepali citizen.”

During the conversation, Prime Minister Oli strongly condemned the attack and reaffirmed Nepal’s unwavering support to India in combating terrorism. The two leaders also shared condolences over the death of a Nepali national in the incident, underscoring the human cost of cross-border violence.
