KATHMANDU: A Cabinet meeting has been scheduled to take place at 5 PM on Tuesday evening at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.
Earlier today, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli met with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba for discussions prior to the Cabinet gathering. The meeting was called shortly after their discussion.
The Cabinet session, originally planned for Monday, was postponed at the last minute due to health reasons cited by the Prime Minister.
Today’s meeting is expected to focus on the appointment of the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank.
Ahead of the Cabinet meeting, the recommendation committee responsible for the governor’s appointment is also scheduled to convene. This committee is anticipated to present three potential candidates for the post.
