BAGLUNG: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has called on the people to shed the pessimism that “nothing is happening in Nepal,” asserting that the country is on the path to prosperity.
Speaking at a public dialogue event in Baglung Bazaar as part of the party’s Mid-Hill Highway Public Awareness Campaign, Prachanda emphasized the need to focus on local production, domestic industries, and a self-sustaining agricultural system.
He claimed that the Mid-Hill Pushpalal Highway Awareness Campaign—an initiative he said was advanced on his own proposal—has helped connect local communities to economic progress and should be completed without delay.
Prachanda also stated that the Maoist Centre is gathering public feedback through the Mid-Hill awareness campaign and will reshape its political approach based on citizen concerns.
He said the Maoist Centre remains the only party committed to addressing the issues of marginalized groups, including Dalits, farmers, laborers, and the oppressed.
