KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has called meetings of its Secretariat and Central Committee after the Supreme Court upheld the decision to keep party Chair Rabi Lamichhane in custody.

The move came after an emergency virtual session of the Secretariat. The party has scheduled another virtual Secretariat meeting for 3 PM today (Saturday), followed by a Central Committee meeting at 4 PM.

Furthermore, the RSP has announced that the Central Committee will meet in person at its central office at 2 PM on Sunday.

The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the ruling by the Butwal bench of the Tulsipur High Court to detain Lamichhane for legal proceedings.
