KATHMANDU: The Socialist Front (Samajwadi Morcha) Nepal is set to engage in discussions with civil society members and intellectuals today (Saturday) to address the current political situation.
This decision was made during a meeting held on Friday at the Unified Socialist Party’s central office in Aloknagar, Kathmandu.
In addition, the Front has scheduled an interactive session with journalists on Saturday.
The Front also plans to continue political dialogue with both parliamentary parties and political figures outside of Parliament.
A leader who attended the meeting stated, “We have decided to launch an extensive political initiative aimed at creating an environment that upholds national independence and the republic, while steadfastly moving forward on the path to socialism.”
The meeting further decided to ensure the success of the protest rally and public demonstration planned for March 28, as informed by Khadka Bahadur Bishwakarma.
He also shared that the meeting evaluated the political situation, concluding that the challenges are increasing, particularly due to protests from monarchist supporters.
Additionally, the meeting agreed to prevent any regressive movements from succeeding.
Notable leaders at the meeting included Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand, and Nepal Samajwadi Party Chairman Mahindra Raya Yadav.
