CHITWAN: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh has said the status of citizens has changed with the system transformation in the country.
Talking to media following the inauguration of the six-lane Pulchowk-Gondrang roadway project here today, the Minister claimed that recent years have witnessed various development accomplishments. “However, it takes time to deliver meeting the people’s aspirations comprehensively.”
He added that the Project is a testament that achievement is possible through domestic investment. He also pressed the need of coordination among the federal, province and local governments in undertaking the development endevours.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Devendra Dahal, said the project to upgrade the East-West Highway has also been implemented with the government’s funding.
Chief Minister for Bagamati Province, Bahadur Singh Tamang, described the Pulchowk-Gondrang road as the model initiative for the entire Bagamati Province.
Bharatpur Metropolitan City Mayor Renu Dahal said the project is the pride for the Bharatpur Metropolis and the people here as the local government took an initiation for it.
Secretary at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Keshab Kumar Sharma said the 6.8 kilometers long road was constructed at the cost of Rs 1.13 billion.
