KATHMANDU: Top leaders of Nepal’s three major political parties have convened for high-level talks at Singha Durbar. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is holding discussions with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Also present at the meeting are senior leaders including Nepali Congress leader and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, CPN (Maoist Centre) Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun, Maoist leader Khim Lal Devkota, and Prime Minister Oli’s advisor Agni Kharel, among others.

According to Prachanda’s secretariat, the agenda of the meeting centers on transitional justice—an issue that remains unresolved since the end of Nepal’s decade-long armed conflict.

Prime Minister Oli had originally called for the meeting on Wednesday, but it was postponed as Prachanda was outside the Kathmandu Valley and unable to attend.
