KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that despite the party’s split, UML has successfully regained its original strength because of its correct ideology and leadership.
Addressing the second full meeting of the National Youth Association’s central committee in Lalitpur on Monday, Oli said that although reactionary forces tried to bring down the UML following the party’s division, they failed due to the party’s strong ideological foundation and effective leadership.
He urged the youth organization to counter ongoing propaganda and efforts to isolate the UML politically.
Oli emphasized that youths should support the right ideas and leadership rather than individuals.
Calling for a strong commitment to social justice, national interest, defense, good governance, and scientific reasoning — the core principles of the UML — Oli encouraged the youth wing to stand firmly with the party’s values.
Declaring the Youth Association as a “strong bastion of national dignity,” Oli said the organization should lead social engagement, public awareness, and patriotic action, and asserted that no one can weaken it.
