KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML is organizing a special event on Tuesday to mark the 76th anniversary of the founding of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).
According to UML Central Office Secretary Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, the commemorative program will take place in the afternoon at the Nepal Academy (Nepal Pragya Pratishthan) in Kamaladi.
As part of the celebration, the party is scheduled to honor seven notable individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth and expansion of the Nepali communist movement. They will be recognized as “Communist Warriors.”
Those being honored are Lal Bahadur Bishwakarma (Kanchanpur), Ratna Sharma Neupane (posthumously), Bachaspati Devkota (Gorkha), Shanta Manvi (Kathmandu), Satyanarayan Mandal (Saptari), Shobharam Basnet (Dang), and Haricharan Shiwakoti (Jhapa).
