DHANUSHA: The military tensions between India and Pakistan of late have had its effects along the Nepal-India bordering areas. As a result, the security forces have intensified the security provisions in the border points of Nepal and India.
In Dhanusha district, the security situation has been beefed up mostly in Jatahi and Bhittamod, as security forces from both Nepal and India have been mobilized in the two border points.
Deputy Inspector General of Armed Police Force, Nepal of Chhinnamasta Barrack, Krishna Dhakal, said that individuals’ identity and destinations have been inquired along the border points.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Pramod Raya deployed at Jatahi point said, “We have upped security surveillance.”
The officials have shared that such surveillances were intensified as the border points were sensitive in regard to security perspectives through there was no direct impact on Nepal from the tussles between India and Pakistan.
Likewise, the local markets along the Nepal-India bordering points have been affected from the tight security surveillance and the residents there have shared that their daily life was affected.
Similarly, security surveillances have been upped in the border points in Rupandehi district.
The Armed Police Force, Nepal has intensified its activities in Belahiya, Lumbini and Bhagawanpur points in Rupandehi district and the sniffer dogs have been mobilized in the area.
