KATHMANDU: A tremor was felt in the Darchula district of Sudurpashchim Province on Sunday afternoon. At 3:49 PM, the earthquake shook areas including the district headquarters, Khalanga.
According to Technical Assistant Yuvraj Subedi from the Seismic Measurement Center in Surkhet, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located in the Suva area of Uttarakhand province, near the Nepal-India border.
Authorities have not reported any damage or casualties from the earthquake.
