Arrangement made to bring Sudip’s mortal remains to Nepal

KATHMANDU: The mortal remains of Sudip Neupane, who was killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalagam of Kashmir on Tuesday, is being brought to Nepal today.

An arrangement to bring the body was made after the initiation taken by Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba with the Indian External Affairs Ministry.

Similarly, relatives of Sudip who were also with him–Rimkala Pandey, Yubraj Kafle, Sushma Neupane and another Nepali national Hari Prasad Sapkota, would also be returned home.

Rimkala was injured in the incident. Minister Rana talked with Nepali Ambassador to India, Dr Shankar Sharma this morning and directed him to make coordination on the issue.

An arrangement has been made where the mortal remains would be brought to New Delhi from Srinagar and to Lucknow from New Delhi in a flight, and from Lucknow to border of Nepal in an ambulance.

The Foreign Ministry made coordination to bring the body of Sudip to Nepal after his relatives requested to make arrangement for the same.

Sudip was a resident of Butwal-11, Kalikanagar in Rupandehi.

Meanwhile, the government has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that was carried out against tourists visiting Kashmir.
