KATHMANDU: Dalit activist Khagendra Sunar has been arrested by the police while trying to enter the Parliament building.

He was arrested on Monday afternoon while trying to enter the Parliament building demanding justice for the inter-caste married couple Satyendra and Neha.

Sunar was arrested after he tried to go from Minbhavan towards Baneshwor to the Parliament building and was taken to Baneshwor Circle.

According to the SSP Adhikari, Khagendra has been kept in the police circle in New Baneshwor. “We have taken him under control because he tried to break the prohibited area,” he said.
